  • Raymond Meschell, a 24 year old Houston man. He was accused, but never indicted, for the strangling death of Mary Mueller, a waitress, found in a Conroe cemetery on January 22,1959. One of the cardboard boxes containing Jane Doe's remains were traced back to the Borden's he previously worked at 5 weeks earlier. He also matched the "bushy-haired" description.   • 39 year old unemployed Victoria carpenter with a theft and alcohol issue. He admitted to being in El Paso, but not Florida or Georgia. Police believe he is unlikely involved.  ARTICLE​

  • The truck driver who alleged to have witnessed the "bushy-haired man" dumping boxes at the exact location. He chose to remain anonymous for reporters.

  • The 2 fishermen who found her body while looking for fish bait (Jim B. Sumner of Shepherd, TX and J.H. Shepherd Sumner of Livingston, TX)

  • Darlington W. Shaw, age 51, was questioned in connection to other torso cases after he was suspected of killing his wife and leaving her body parts in 3 different California counties. He had ties to Texas and New Mexico. ARTICLE  ARTICLE

  • 39 year old male nurse serving a sentence in Arizona for forgery. He was formerly a funeral home embalmer from Houston and was arrested driving a car that wasn't his with a blood-stained towel inside.  ARTICLE

  • 27 year old Willie Joe King, an army private who confessed to killing and dismembering a friend of his and discarding the remains along a Georgia highway.  ARTICLE. ARTICLE
